Add ScoutRival to Claude.ai.

On the web, Claude connects by signing in to ScoutRival — no token to copy. Add the custom connector once and your tools are there in every chat.

Claude.ai on the web — and the Claude mobile apps — connect to ScoutRival with a one-click sign-in rather than a pasted token. You add ScoutRival as a custom connector, sign in to your account, and choose what access to grant. The custom-connector feature is on Claude's paid plans (Pro, Team and Enterprise); if you don't see the option to add one, that is why.

Add the connector

1

Open your connectors

In Claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

2

Paste the endpoint

Enter https://user.scoutrival.com/api/mcp as the server URL and add it.

3

Sign in to ScoutRival

Claude opens ScoutRival's sign-in. Sign in to your account — being signed in on the same browser already makes this a single click.

4

Allow the connection

A consent screen shows what access Claude is being granted. Review it and choose Allow. You're connected.

// NOTHING LANDS IN YOUR CHAT

Because you sign in rather than paste a token, nothing sensitive is stored in your chat history. The connection lives in your Claude settings, and you can revoke it there any time.

Choose your access level

On ScoutRival's consent screen you pick the access level for the connection — Read-only, Content or Full. Start with Read-only: it reads all your data and spends nothing, which is enough to explore. When you want Claude to generate content or run a check, remove the connector and reconnect at a higher level. Removing it in Claude's Connectors settings revokes the access immediately. See scopes and access levels for exactly what each one grants.

Use it in a chat

In a conversation, enable the ScoutRival connector for that chat if Claude prompts you, then ask in plain language:

  • "List my ScoutRival brands" — confirms the connection and shows what Claude can see.
  • "Give me today's brief for my brand" — returns the verdict, competitor moves and suggested posts, the same brief you see in the app.
  • "How visible am I in AI answers, and what's the top fix?" — pulls your latest AI-visibility check and its highest-leverage action.

Claude asks your permission before each action. Reads are free; tools that generate content or run a check spend credits per the tool, exactly as they do inside ScoutRival.

If the tools don't show

If the ScoutRival tools don't appear, or the list looks stale after a new tool ships, toggle the connector off and on in Settings → Connectors — or start a new chat — so Claude re-reads the tool list. If the sign-in step fails, first confirm you can log in to ScoutRival directly in the same browser; once that works, add the connector again. More fixes are in troubleshooting.
